JOB SUMMARY

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Development Coordinator to join our team. As a Development Coordinator, you will report to various Vice Presidents of Development and provide support throughout the development process, including site selection, acquisition, financing, underwriting, entitlement, permitting, construction, and conversion. You will collaborate with different departments within the organization to ensure project progress and success.

This entry-level position requires dedication and a willingness to invest time and effort beyond a traditional work week. It offers great opportunities for growth and development. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude towards change, adaptability in a fast-paced environment, and the ability to identify and propose solutions to ensure project completion on time.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in gathering information on proposed sites, such as demographics, traffic counts, zoning information, and competition.
  • Support in the preparation of capital requests and monthly status reports.
  • Track due diligence items (environmental, geotechnical, zoning reports) and distribute them to relevant parties.
  • Assist in gathering and distributing necessary documents for proposal solicitation from consultants and general contractors.
  • Interact with local planning/building departments, city halls, and other stakeholders on a day-to-day basis.
  • Conduct research on materials and establish relationships with contractors.
  • Prepare and track surveys and request for proposals (RFPs).
  • Assist in generating computerized reports for budgeting, scheduling, and outstanding items.
  • Respond to information requests from corporate office, general contractors, management, and local municipalities.
  • Independently organize time and function with minimum direction.
  • Communicate and manage issues and risks affecting projects.
  • Manage the approval and permitting phase of the development process, ensuring compliance with company requirements.
  • Analyze and provide reports on FHFC RFAs to the pipeline team.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Real Estate Development or a related field.
  • Preferred Master's Degree in Real Estate Development or a related field.
  • Tax Credit experience is a plus.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The physical demands of this role include the ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear, frequently required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee may also need to use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
